Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy that focuses on the relationship between structure and function that exists within the human body. The practitioner uses an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to identify patterns that exist within the body, and areas where structural asymmetry and restriction may be causing dysfunction.
Osteopathy is founded on the belief that when the obstructions to the flow of nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics are removed, the body has an inherent capacity to heal and regulate itself.
During your treatment Jessica will assess the body as a whole and use gentle manual treatment applications to improve balance and mobility within all of it’s systems so that health and stability may be restored.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare and helping others. I loved learning about the human body so I chose to study Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton where I learned about the body’s self healing and self regulating mechanisms through principles based practice. I believe that Osteopathy can help re-align the body’s structure and function so that it can restore its own health through proper blood, nerve, and lymphatic flow. I very much look forward to meeting and working with you all.
